The Mary Veils started as a solo project of frontman Brian Von Uff, but it is now a fully-fledged, punk four-piece, with drummer Evan Wall, guitarist Drew Mann and bassist Justin Mansor. Their latest album, Esoteric Hex (2022), took the band into a darker route, it’s an album filled with classic punk-inflected garage rock. The band's sound is raw, filled with riffery and melody. This time they come back as more cohesive than ever, Nice and Easy is true to their unique traits as a unit. The band explains that “Nice And Easy is a track that feels like the most "us" we've ever been”. It’s a result of individual personalities that have created the band’s DNA, it is present in the stark, playful but confident song, filled with spiralling guitars and hooks. The song is mixed by John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr, The Black Angels, Kurt Vile) and mastered by Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound (Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, John Lennon, Talking Heads).
